Digital Photos
Presenting digital photos on a web can be achieved in several ways. Two
of the common ways are with Auto thumbnails (see below)
or with a FrontPage photo gallery.
Process your digital photos to a size of 640 pixels wide and save them as
JPGs. Making a photo 640 pixels wide will allow the photo to fit onto the
computer screen. There is no reason to send a photo larger then the web
browser screen. For this reason, you should reduce your photos to 640 pixels
wide.

Steps to Auto Thumbnail
- Resize your photos to 640 pixels wide and save as a JPG image in your
images folder.
- Insert the picture onto the web page.
- Display your PICTURE TOOLBAR. (View toolbars, pictures)

- With the picture on the web page and now selected, click the AUTO
THUMBNAIL button in the picture toolbar. (3rd button in from the left)
- A small thumbnail will be created AND a hyperlink will be created to
the larger 640 pixel wide picture.
- Save your page and notice the SAVE EMBEDDED FILES dialog box.
Save into the IMAGES folder.

- Also notice the SMALL.jpg file that was created. This is the thumbnail
image for the larger photo.
- Continue to add photos and build your page.
